Natural Attenuation
This is a control bench-test option that enhanced treatments are assessed against. If you’re evaluating a natural attenuation remediation plan as your primary option, bench-testing can be used to assess remediation activity to complement specialist field monitoring, eg. CSIA and micro-diagnostics.
Biostimulation
Our biostimulation bench-tests determine if adjusting the conditions can enhance biodegradation processes at your site. The adjustments may include pH buffering, nutrient addition, providing electron donors (organic carbon) or electron acceptors (aeration) to stimulate indigenous reductive or oxidative microbial activity.
Bioaugmentation
Microorganisms are everywhere, but not always the right species at the right time. Giving your site a kick start by introducing the best microbe for the job can reduce project duration substantially. Micronovo has access to a library of bacteria and fungi suited for almost any job, from organohalide respiring bacteria to polyaromatic hydrocarbon munching fungi. We can run bench tests to demonstrate the potential of introducing bacterial and/or fungal cultures to your site (and the biostimulation of these).
Amendment Optimisation
We can test the efficacy of traditional amendments such as surfactants, chemical oxidants and chemical reductants on soil and water samples an. This involves evaluating their impact on contaminant breakdown and microbial activity, allowing us to recommend the most effective amendment for your specific site conditions.
